The Campaign
"SQUiP? google it" is a viral marketing campaign for Be More Chill, a novel by Brain Bridge partner Ned Vizzini.Launched in June 2004 by The Brain Bridge and the book's publishers Miramax & Hyperion, the "squip" meme continues to spread via a combination of networked web sites anchored with user-generated content, a vibrant online community and a nationwide street presence. In October 2004, the campaign was featured in the Circuits section of the New York Times. The Viral Spread Where they heard about the squip: i was talking to a friend at school and they were all talking about squip so i asked them what it was and they sent me to this website. they said they found out about it from some guy on the street. long story and not enough time to tell it even if the story wasnt a secret which it is! lol Why they need a squip: i dont know. if i werent popular i would need it but me and my friends are cool so i am just here cuz my friends sent me here. enough said! Where they heard about the squip: I was sitting in chemistry class and this girl had a sticker that said squip and i said what is that? and she gave me a sticker that said "squip, google it" so i did. Why they need a squip: I need a squip because who doesnt need a squip? Where they heard about the squip: I saw a bumper sticker and "googled it" Why they need a squip: I want to find out if it's even possible for me to be cooler than I already am.
